Abstract:A new method of measuring the transverse piezoelectric coefficient of piezoelectric ceramics by utilizing Hall displacement sensor is proposed in this paper. Based on the converse piezoelectric effect, a certain voltage is applied to the piezoelectric ceramic so as to generate a tiny deformation in the direction of the vertical electric field. This microdisplacement is measured by the Hall displacement sensor, and according to the corresponding elongation of the piezoelectric ceramic under different voltages, the piezoelectric coefficient of piezoelectric ceramic can be obtained by calculation. The experimental results show that the method is simple, reliable and accurate, and the experimental results are in line with the expectation.
