Barium titanate fibers were prepared by Sol-Gel method. The effect of raw materials on sol preparation was studied. Barium titanate ceramic fibers were not obtained by using the inorganic salts of titanate and barium as raw materials; but the fibers could be prepared by using Ti(C4H9O)4and Ba(CH3COO)2 as raw materials, by which barium titanate ceramic fibers were preparation by sintering at 900 ℃ for 1 h, with cubic BaTiO3 phase of 40 μm in diameter.
