A new scheme of phased array imaging was proposed in this paper in order to improve lateral resolution at all depths compared with the conventional scheme with a signal depth focusing.Each array element is excited individually and the resulting pulse echoes are received at all elements of the corresponding aperture.After repeating the transmit and receive step for all array elements,the receive focusing and transmit focusing can be reconstructed by using those echoes signal.During the reconstruction process, the echo signals are dynamically compensated in the special positions in order to focus in all depths.This paper presents the theoretical basis for the reconstruction and dynamical compensation.And the algorithm to figure out the compensation position is also provided.The computer simulation results show that the proposed scheme has significantly improved lateral resolution at all depths compared to the conventional one. The proposed scheme has the features of simple circuit and practical value.
