Abstract:The 0.13Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.01Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.86Pb0.82Ba0.08Sr0.1TixZr1-xO3 (0.48≤x≤0.51) ceramic powders were prepared by the twostep precalcination process and the conventional onestep precalcination process respectively. Then the piezoelectric ceramics were fabricated from these two kinds of powders by the conventional solid phase sintering processes. The effects of the precursor calcinations process and the Zr/Ti ratio on the piezoelectric ceramic properties were investigated. The results showed that both of the piezoelectric ceramics exhibited pure perovskite structure, the twostep calcination process could significantly improve the piezoelectric and electromechanical properties, while the dielectric properties are degraded. The piezoelectric constant d33,electromechanical coefficient kp,and the relative permittivity εr of ceramics prepared by the twostep calcinations process were found to be 884 pC/N,66.4%,5 742,respectively. The piezoelectric constant d33,electromechanical coefficient kp and the relative permittivity εr of the ceramics prepared by the conventional solid state reaction method were found to be 755 pC/N and 56.1% and 7 324,respectively.
