Abstract:The segemented ring transducer is a kind of effective low-frequency broadband transducer; its transceiver performance is not affected by the depth of water, and is widely applied to the variable-depth sonar equipment for target detection. The receiving performance of the segemented ring transducer will be simulated and analyzed based on two different beamforming algorithm theories of minimum mariance distortionless response, the minimum variance distortionless response(MVDR), second order cone programming(SOCP), two order cone programming in this paper, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods for the segmented ring transducer are compared. According to different application environments, the beamformer can be fabricated by using different algorithm. Thus the corresponding directed graph can be generated and the effect of the use of transducer can be enhanced.
