In this paper, the acoustic characteristics and fabrication process of high frequency spherical wide beam underwater transducer are analyzed and studied. The transducer sample satisfying the design requirements is fabricated and its acoustic performance parameters are tested. The experimental analysis results show that the developed highfrequency spherical wide beam transducer has a pure mode in the working frequency band and a wide beam in the horizontal and vertical directions at the high frequency. When this type of underwater transducer is applied to the sonar system, it can effectively expand the radiation range of sonar system.
